Novels
Three books.
One world-building exercise.
I worked across three original The Dragon Prince graphic novels with Scholastic, translating the franchise into illustrated stories for a younger audience. Across Bloodmoon Huntress, Puzzle House, and Dreamer’s Nightmare, I helped guide story, character, visual development, and production while balancing the needs of the franchise, publisher, and young readers.

THE PROCESS
SCRIPT & BRIEF
After partnering with Scholastic to select authors and artists for each book, we worked through story beats, character arcs, and franchise requirements before the script moved into production. Part of my role was reviewing the story and art direction through a franchise lens and identifying areas that needed additional development.
EXPLORATION
With the script taking shape, artists developed character, environment, and location concepts for the new stories. I reviewed the visual development to ensure new material felt authentic to The Dragon Prince while giving each book its own visual identity.
PENCILS, INKS & COLOR
From early sketches through finished pages, I worked with the creative team to review and refine the artwork, balancing readability, character consistency, storytelling, and the needs of the final publication.
PUBLISHING & MARKETING
Working across Wonderstorm and Scholastic, I helped guide the books through review, approvals, and final delivery, connecting creative decisions back to the broader franchise. As we got closer to final delivery, I would also start leading our go-to-market strategy.
