The Dragon Prince

Battlecharged

Bringing the action

to tabletop.

I led the franchise development of The Dragon Prince: Battlecharged, a miniatures and card-based board game that brought the world of Xadia into a new physical format. Working with Brotherwise Games, I helped translate the franchise's characters, world, and visual language into a playable experience designed to feel unmistakably Dragon Prince.

Battlecharged translated the characters, factions, and magic of The Dragon Prince into a tactical tabletop experience. Players could assemble teams of familiar heroes, move through Xadia-inspired environments, and bring the franchise's conflicts to the table through cards, miniatures, and abilities.

A world built to be played.

THE GAME

The Dragon Prince already had an established visual language, characters, magic systems, and lore. The challenge was translating those elements into a tabletop game without making the experience feel like a piece of merchandise with a board attached.

Working with Brotherwise Games, we needed to preserve the personality and fantasy of Xadia while adapting it to the practical realities of a physical game: readable cards, expressive miniatures, clear iconography, and a cohesive play experience.

Turning a story world into a playable one.

MY ROLE

As Franchise Lead, I worked across Wonderstorm and Brotherwise Games to guide the creative development of Battlecharged, helping translate the franchise into a new physical format while maintaining continuity with the world and characters.

I partnered closely with the game team across character selection, visual development, art direction, franchise approvals, and the overall presentation of the product. Then, I assisted in creating the GTM strategy, including creating an unboxing video for The Dragon Prince's channels.

Translating the show's cast into collectible tabletop miniatures while preserving their recognizable silhouettes and personalities. Supporting the translation of The Dragon Prince's abilities, factions, and conflicts into readable tabletop mechanics. Bringing the pieces together into a cohesive physical experience across cards, miniatures, boards, tokens, and packaging.

From character cards to miniatures.
